Jury finds office building at 650 Fifth Ave. in New York connected to U.S. sanctions violations.
Federal prosecutors won a court victory Thursday that paves the way for the government to seize a Midtown Manhattan office building they said was a front for the Iranian government and illegally provided money to Iran.
A jury in U.S. District Court in Manhattan found that the 36-story office building at 650 Fifth Ave. was involved in a money-laundering transaction in violation of U.S. sanctions laws, according to court documents. Jurors began deliberations early Wednesday.
